quso.ai is the current name for vidyo.ai, one of the earliest AI clip tools, now rebuilt into a broader social-media suite. It clips long videos into short ones, captions and reframes them, then schedules the results to as many as seven platforms. The free plan gives you 75 credits a month, which is roughly 75 minutes of source video, and paid plans start at $29 a month, or $19 a month on annual billing. This review covers how the credits work, what the free plan actually includes, and the real cost per source minute, all read off quso.ai’s own pages.

Disclosure: I run ScaleReach, which publishes this review and competes with quso.ai. I did not pay for a quso.ai plan, and I did not run my own videos through it for this post. There is no affiliate relationship. Every price and limit below comes from quso.ai’s own pricing and help pages, read on 13 October 2026, plus its public Product Hunt page. Where quso.ai does something better than we do, I say so.

The 60-second verdict

Use quso.ai if you want one tool for the whole workflow, not just clipping: it also schedules to seven platforms, plans a calendar, writes captions and posts, and reports analytics.

Try the free plan if you want to test AI clipping for nothing. 75 credits a month is about 75 minutes of source video, more than Opus Clip’s 60, with no credit card.

Watch the credit math. One credit is one source minute. Lite’s 100 credits is only about 100 minutes of video a month, and the headline $19 is the annual rate. Month to month, Lite is $29.

Skip it if you mainly want the most clipping minutes per dollar. A focused clipper gives more source minutes at the entry tier, and you will not pay for the scheduler and planner you are not using.

Bottom line: quso.ai is a social-media suite that happens to clip, priced by credits. Fair value if you use the whole suite, credit-starved on Lite if you only need clips.

What is quso.ai?

quso.ai is a web app that turns long videos, podcasts and streams into short, captioned, vertical clips, then publishes them. It is the rebrand of vidyo.ai: the company kept the same login, plans and clip engine and changed the name in 2024. Its own pricing page still carries a “Coming from Vidyo.ai? Your plan and pricing are unchanged” banner, and its site markup lists Vidyo.ai as an alternate name.

What it does, per its pricing and product pages:

  • Finds clip-worthy moments in a long video and scores each one by predicted virality.
  • Captions and reframes clips to 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1.
  • Imports from YouTube, Vimeo, X, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble, Loom, LinkedIn and Zoom, plus Google Drive, Dropbox and local upload. Every source works on the free plan.
  • Schedules to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest and X on the plans that include scheduling.
  • Bundles a content planner, social analytics, an AI writer, an AI video generator and AI avatars around the clipper.

That last point is the thing to understand before comparing prices. quso.ai is not a pure clipper. It markets itself as a replacement for ”~$300+/mo across 6 tools”, so clipping is one feature among many, and you pay for the suite.

How much does quso.ai cost in 2026?

PlanMonthlyAnnual (per month)Credits/month (monthly → annual)Storage
Free$0$075n/a
Lite$29$19100 → 20010 GB
Essential$39$26300 → 60025 GB
Growth$49$33600 → 1,20075 GB

Source: quso.ai/pricing (verified 2026-10-13). The big number on each card is the month-to-month price; the lower figure is the effective monthly rate when you pay for a year up front.

Two features of this pricing matter more than the headline numbers:

  • Annual billing is a large discount and doubles your credits. quso.ai’s own page says annual plans are “~33% cheaper per month” and “include 2x the monthly credits”. So Lite is $29 a month for 100 credits month to month, but $19 a month for 200 credits on a year. That is a bigger annual swing than most tools in this category, and it is the single biggest lever on quso.ai’s value.
  • The plans ladder up by feature, not just volume. Lite publishes to TikTok only. Scheduling to all seven platforms, AI filler-and-silence removal and the content planner start on Essential. The custom brand kit, the Viddy AI assistant and social analytics start on Growth.

One number does not agree with itself on quso.ai’s own site. The pricing page lists Growth at “600 → 1,200” credits, while its subscription-plans help article says Growth includes “600-1800 monthly credits”. I am recording the discrepancy rather than guessing which is right. Confirm your plan’s credit count in-app before you buy a year of Growth.

There is also a Plus plan that only appears in the help centre, not on the pricing page. It is mobile-web only, costs the same credit allowance as Free (75 a month, or 900 on a year), but removes the watermark, exports 1080p and adds 10 GB of storage, with no social-account connections. If you clip from a phone browser, it is worth knowing it exists.

How do quso.ai credits work?

One credit is one minute of imported video, rounded up to the next whole minute. A 40-second clip costs 1 credit; a 25-minute-40-second video costs 26. That rule is on quso.ai’s how-credits-work page, and it is the same unit ScaleReach uses, so the two are directly comparable.

The rules worth knowing before you plan a month around them:

  • Credits are charged at import, once. After a video is uploaded, editing it, publishing it and downloading the clips cost nothing extra. You are billed for source length, not for how many clips come out.
  • Monthly credits do not roll over. On a monthly plan, unused credits expire at the end of the period. On an annual plan you get all 12 months of credits up front, and they reset at the end of the year.
  • Add-on credits are different. You can buy extra credits at $0.15 each, the price varying by region, and those do not expire.
  • Failed videos are refunded automatically, and quso.ai says it will reimburse credits by hand if you are unhappy with an output.
  • Team workspaces share one pool. Only the owner buys the plan, and every member draws from the same credits.

The practical catch is that generative features bill differently. For AI clips, captions and the AI writer, credits are counted by the length of the video you import. For the AI video generator and AI avatars, they are counted by the length of the video that comes out. So a text-to-video run has no “source” and still spends credits.

Is quso.ai free?

Yes, and the free plan renews every month. You get 75 credits a month, which is about 75 minutes of source video, AI clips and captions, and direct publishing to TikTok. Uploads are capped at 720p and 5 GB, exports carry a quso.ai watermark, and your uploads are kept for 7 days. That 75-minute monthly allowance is genuinely useful for testing, and it is larger than Opus Clip’s 60 free minutes.

This is one place quso.ai beats us for a creator who wants to pay nothing. ScaleReach’s free tier is a one-time allowance of 100 minutes rather than a monthly one, so once you have used it, you have used it. If you clip one or two short videos a month and never want to pay, quso.ai’s renewing free plan is the better deal. See our free-tier comparison across tools for how both sit against the rest of the category.

How does quso.ai compare on cost per source minute?

Source minutes are the fairest unit here, because both tools charge by how much video you feed in, not by how many clips you get out. The table below is annual billing, which is the rate quso.ai wants you to compare on.

PlanAnnual price / monthSource minutes / monthCost per source minute
quso.ai Lite$19200about $0.095
quso.ai Essential$26600about $0.043
quso.ai Growth$331,200about $0.028
ScaleReach Starter$10200about $0.05
ScaleReach Pro$12.50400about $0.031
ScaleReach Agency$495,000about $0.010

quso.ai rows from quso.ai/pricing; ScaleReach rows from our pricing page, both verified 2026-10-13.

On annual billing, ScaleReach is cheaper per source minute at the tiers most creators actually buy. Starter gives the same 200 minutes as quso.ai Lite for about half the per-minute cost, and Pro undercuts Essential while still including scheduling. quso.ai only pulls level on price at Growth, which is $33 a month and aimed at teams.

Month to month, the gap is wider, because quso.ai’s monthly credits are the same count for a higher price. Lite month to month is $29 for 100 credits, which is about $0.29 per source minute, one of the steepest entry rates in the category. Essential month to month is about $0.13, and Growth about $0.082. If you are going to use quso.ai at all, the annual plan is not optional, it is the whole value proposition.

To be fair, quso.ai’s credits buy more than clipping. The scheduler, planner, analytics and AI writer come out of the same subscription, so a creator who uses the full suite is not paying for clipping minutes alone. That is the honest case for its pricing, and it is why the “per source minute” number is only half the comparison.

What quso.ai does better, and where it falls short

Named plainly, because a one-sided review is not worth reading.

Where quso.ai is genuinely ahead of us:

  • It is a suite, not a clipper. The content planner, seven-platform scheduler, social analytics, AI writer, text-to-video and AI avatars are real features we do not have. If you want one subscription to run a whole content calendar, that breadth is the point.
  • It imports from more places. Vimeo, Rumble, Loom, LinkedIn, Dropbox, Google Drive and Zoom links all work, on the free plan. We take YouTube, Twitch and Kick links plus direct uploads, which is a shorter list.
  • Its free plan renews monthly. Ours does not.

Where it is weaker or unclear:

  • Lite is credit-starved and TikTok-only. 100 credits a month and no scheduling beyond TikTok makes the entry paid plan feel like a trial. The useful tier is Essential or Growth.
  • Reliability complaints are specific. On its Product Hunt page quso.ai holds 4.3 from 11 reviews, with praise for fast repurposing and criticism that the editor can glitch and force a redo, that a watermark was added to the free plan, and that account deletion is awkward. Its G2 listing is effectively a single review with no written feedback. That is a thin, mixed public record for a tool this old.
  • Its own numbers disagree in one place, as noted in the pricing section.

For balance, ScaleReach has limits worth stating too: we delete clips after 15 days on free and 180 days on paid, our exports top out at 1080p rather than true 4K, and our free tier is one-time. We think the focused clip-to-publish workflow and the lower per-minute cost are the trade, but you should know what you give up.

FAQ

Is quso.ai the same as vidyo.ai?

Yes. quso.ai is vidyo.ai after a 2024 rebrand. The company kept the same clip engine, the same accounts and the same plans, and only changed the name. If you had a vidyo.ai login, it still works, and quso.ai’s pricing page carries a banner telling former vidyo.ai users their plan and pricing are unchanged.

How much does quso.ai cost?

The free plan is $0 with 75 credits a month. Paid plans, read off quso.ai’s pricing page on 13 October 2026, are Lite at $29 a month ($19 on annual billing), Essential at $39 ($26 annual) and Growth at $49 ($33 annual). Annual billing is about 33% cheaper per month and doubles your monthly credit count, so Lite goes from 100 credits to 200.

How do quso.ai credits work?

One credit equals one minute of imported video, rounded up to the next minute, so a 42-minute video costs 42 credits. Credits are charged once, at import; editing, publishing and downloading afterward cost nothing extra. Monthly credits do not roll over, annual credits arrive up front and reset after 12 months, and separately purchased add-on credits ($0.15 each) never expire.

Is the quso.ai free plan actually usable?

For testing, yes. 75 credits is about 75 minutes of source video a month, and it renews, which is more generous than several rivals. The limits are a quso.ai watermark, 720p exports, a 5 GB upload cap, 7-day storage of your uploads, and publishing to TikTok only. To remove the watermark, export 1080p or schedule to other platforms, you move to a paid plan.

Is quso.ai good value compared with ScaleReach?

It depends on whether you need the suite. On annual billing, ScaleReach Starter gives the same 200 source minutes as quso.ai Lite for roughly half the cost per minute, about $0.05 against $0.095, and includes scheduling. quso.ai is competitive only at its Growth tier. But quso.ai bundles a content planner, analytics and an AI writer that ScaleReach does not, so if you will use those, its price covers more than clipping.

What can you import into quso.ai?

Links from YouTube, Vimeo, X, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble, Loom, LinkedIn and Zoom, plus files from Google Drive, Dropbox or your computer. Every import source is available on the free plan, which is a wider list than most clip tools accept.

The bottom line

quso.ai is a capable all-in-one social suite with a clip engine at its centre, and the vidyo.ai lineage means the clipping itself is mature. The free plan is one of the more generous ways to test AI clipping, and if you want a single tool to clip, schedule, plan and measure, Essential or Growth on annual billing is a reasonable buy.

Where it gets expensive is the entry. Lite’s 100 monthly credits and TikTok-only publishing make the cheap paid tier a near-trial, and month to month the per-minute cost is among the highest in the category. If your job is mainly turning long videos into captioned vertical clips and posting them, you will get more source minutes per dollar from a focused tool, and you will not pay for a planner you do not open. Decide whether you are buying a clipper or a suite before you compare the prices, because quso.ai is priced as a suite.
